The center was once referred to as the Kutak Center for the Teaching and Study of Applied Ethics. After their funding expired in 2021 and was not renewed, the center moved from the College of Law to the College of Arts and Science in the Department of Philosophy.
As a result, all staff and associates currently pursue the center's important mission on a voluntary basis. They will continue to do so until funding is restored or until they can no longer provide the services and programming in light of their other responsibilities.
