Director of Wellness Initiatives at the Marion County Sheriff's Office, IN

Katie Carlson is the Director of Wellness Initiatives at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Indianapolis, where she coordinates the Peer Support Team. She is an Approved Instructor in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (Engaged Mindfulness Institute, 2022), and a Yoga Teacher (CitYoga, 2019). Katie also serves as a Guest Instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, where she teaches trauma resilience and recovery, nervous system science, suicide awareness and intervention, breathwork, mindfulness, and yoga.
